EMERGENCY RESPONSE
Whether you need to perform cleanup on an accelerated timeline or respond to a life-threatening or unexpected event, Earth Tech is the go-to team for time-critical emergency response. Should an accident occur, Earth Tech’s teams are available around-the-clock to provide immediate assistance in emergency situations, from spills and fires to natural disasters.
We have experience cleaning abandoned industrial facilities, illegal dumpsites, pipeline breaks and storage tank failures. And, when the unexpected happens, we are there to help address other specialized problems. For example, following the September 11 terrorist attacks, Earth Tech was at Ground Zero, providing building and street decontamination, debris management and disposal, and installation and operation of a 31,000 square-foot structure housing personnel decontamination and other support facilities. Earth Tech also responded to the 2001 anthrax contamination threats at postal stations across the United States, and assisted with the massive recovery effort for the Space Shuttle Columbia in February of 2003.
Our emergency response services encompass:
- Contamination containment, control, and cleanup at uncontrolled toxic, hazardous, radiological and explosive waste sites
- Emergency cleanup and construction support at sites impacted by natural disasters, major accidents, or terrorist actions
In the United States, for example, we are on standby in six regions of the Environmental Protection Agency, covering 32 states plus Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
