EARTH TECH HONORED FOR PENTAGON DESIGN/BUILD ROADS, GROUNDS, AND SECURITY PROJECT
Access Lane Increases Protection for Federal Employees
LONG BEACH, Calif. (April 19, 2005) – Earth Tech Inc., a business unit of Tyco International Ltd, and a global provider of consulting, engineering and construction services, is part of a team that has received the Design Build Award of Excellence from Associated Builders and Contractors’ Metropolitan Washington and Virginia Chapters for a project that increased security at the Pentagon.
As the lead engineer on the Shirley Pentagon Contractors, LLC team, Earth Tech designed a dedicated access lane to the Pentagon’s Remote Delivery Facility. The $10 million design/build project increased truck queuing capacity and involved modification of the Arlington County Route 27 and Route 244 interchange.
“Earth Tech’s strong relationship with U.S. federal government and our transportation capabilities were the basis for a very collaborative and successful project that met the Pentagon’s needs,” said Alan Krusi, Earth Tech president. “We are gratified that our work has received this recognition.”
