LONG BEACH, Calif. (June 12, 2006) – Earth Tech Inc., a business unit of Tyco International Ltd, and a global provider of consulting, engineering and construction services, has been awarded a five-year, hazardous substance response contract by the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD).
Under the agreement, Earth Tech will provide comprehensive hazardous materials services, from investigation through remediation, on Georgia EPD sites throughout the state. The scope of work may include activities such as groundwater and soil sampling, the development of recommendations for remediation, and cleanup of the property to meet Georgia Hazardous Site Response Act standards.
“This latest agreement expands upon a decade-long relationship with the Georgia EPD,” said Bill Webb, executive vice president of Earth Tech’s North American operations. “As the State has entrusted Earth Tech with the restoration and protection of its natural resources, we have drawn upon our environmental expertise to help the agency meet its promises to the citizens of Georgia.”
This new contract is the result of a recent consultant consolidation process undertaken by the Georgia EPD. Earth Tech has provided short-term hazardous substance removal services to the agency for the last decade.
