EARTH TECH SELECTED FOR WORK AT CALGARY iNTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

International Terminal Expansion Work to Incorporate Sustainable Design

LONG BEACH, Calif.  (February 28, 2007) – Earth Tech, a business unit of Tyco International Ltd., and a global provider of consulting, engineering and construction services, has been selected as the mechanical and electrical design sub-consultant for the expansion of the international facilities at Calgary International Airport.

Earth Tech will design the electrical and mechanical systems for the airport as part of a team led by project management consultant UMA/AECOM Ltd, and prime design consultant Cohos Evamy Integrated Design. Earth Tech will address the overall electrical, power and lighting systems; HVAC; plumbing and fire protection.  Sustainability will play a key role in the design development of the expansion, reflecting the airport authority’s commitment to environmental excellence.

“Our team has energy conservation and sustainable design expertise that will allow us to deliver a terminal that is efficient, attractive, practical, and sustainable,” said Paul Bassi, Vice President of Earth Tech’s Western Canada District.  “Completion of this project will allow the Calgary Airport Authority to achieve its objectives for a terminal that meets its needs today and for the future.”

The Calgary Airport Authority criteria for expanding its international terminal were to accommodate a forecasted increase in airport traffic and to meet demands well beyond 2020.  The USD$344.5 million (CAD$407 million) construction project will include a new addition to the existing terminal building, as well as extensive renovations within the main terminal.  These renovations will address projected passenger traffic flows in both trans-border and international travel areas and the associated baggage, inspection facilities and pre-boarding screening facilities.

The design for this staged project will be completed over the next four years, with construction beginning in the spring of 2008 for completion in 2013.
