EARTH TECH SELECTED BY ARMY DISTRICT FOR NATIONWIDE ENVIRONMENTAL REMEDIATION SERVICES CONTRACT
Five-year Contract to Support Numerous Federal Environmental Programs
LONG BEACH, Calif. (March 30, 2007) – Earth Tech Inc., a business unit of Tyco International Ltd., and a global provider of consulting, engineering and construction services, has been selected as one of seven providers for a contract to provide nationwide environmental remediation services to the U.S. Army Engineer District (USAED), Sacramento District. The five-year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, multiple award contract is valued at a maximum of $200 million combined for all seven contracts.
Under the contract, Earth Tech could perform a full range of services, including investigations, studies, engineering support, and remedial actions, for hazardous, toxic and radiological waste and munitions and explosives projects.
“Earth Tech’s three decades of experience with military environmental remediation projects will be a great asset for this contract,” said Sandra L. Cuttino, PE, president of Earth Tech’s federal programs. “This is a terrific opportunity for us to continue meeting the needs of Sacramento District and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) clients throughout the nation.”
The contract supports the Sacramento District, as well as customers in other USACE districts, and in other agencies, including the Department of Defense, the Environmental Protection Agency’s Superfund Program, the Defense Environmental Restoration Project, Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program, the Military Munitions Response Program, and other federal environmental projects that require support for military installations.
