LONG BEACH, Calif., April 21, 2004 – Earth Tech, a global provider of consulting, engineering and construction services, is a key member of a consortium that has been awarded a USD$55 million contract to design, build and operate a new wastewater treatment plant and sewer collection system in Xalapa, Mexico.
The long-term contract covers a two-year construction phase followed by an 18-year operations and maintenance period.
The contract includes building a 17-million gallon per day wastewater treatment plant; the construction of 40 miles of collection sewers; the installation of two pumping stations; and providing sewerage services for a 25 square mile area in Xalapa. Xalapa has a population of 400,000 people.
