EARTH TECH AWARDED ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES CONTRACT FOR NEW NANTUCKET MEMORIAL AIRPORT TERMINAL

LONG BEACH, Calif., September 2 - Earth Tech Inc., a business unit of Tyco Engineered Products & Services, and global provider of consulting, engineering and construction services, has been awarded an architectural services contract to design a new passenger terminal building at Nantucket Memorial Airport.

Earth Tech and its subconsultant Nantucket Architecture Group will provide design and project management services, as well as community outreach for the Nantucket Airport Commission initiative.

The two-level terminal building, which is part of a multi-million dollar landside and airside development program, is scheduled to open in 2007. The Earth Tech design will address unique challenges at Nantucket Memorial Airport, including the security screening of daily commuter passengers, a high seasonal fluctuation in the number of passengers, and the historical significance of the surrounding area. Earth Tech will lead a phased construction program that will allow for continuous operation of the existing terminal while construction is underway. Nantucket Memorial Airport is Massachusetts’ second-busiest airport.

“The Nantucket Memorial Airport presents several intriguing challenges,” said Earth Tech President Alan Krusi. “Earth Tech’s global aviation experience gives us the foundation to meet the needs of a growing airport effectively and efficiently.”

Earth Tech’s airside and groundside experience includes projects at O’Hare and Midway airports in Chicago, Pearson International Airport in Toronto, Bangkok International and Logan International in Boston.
