EARTH TECH AWARDED $124 MILLION U.S. EPA EMERGENCY AND RAPID RESPONSE SERVICES CONTRACT

Award Is THIRD Consecutive Earth Tech Emergency Response Contract in Region 2

LONG BEACH, Calif. (November 11, 2004) – Earth Tech Inc., a business unit of Tyco Engineered Products & Services, and a global provider of consulting, engineering and construction services, has been awarded a $124 million, five-year contract with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 2, to provide emergency and rapid response services.

Earth Tech will provide the EPA with engineering services and design and construction management to remove hazardous substances at Superfund sites in New York and New Jersey. This is the third time Earth Tech has been selected for this contract. The new agreement was expanded to require that Earth Tech maintain the highest level of readiness possible to respond to biological, chemical, radiological and other attacks in the region within a six-hour response time.

“Earth Tech has a legacy of providing quality work to federal clients like the EPA,” said Earth Tech President Alan Krusi. “Our future organic growth will be based on developing and maintaining long-term relationships such as this.”

Under previous agreements with the EPA's Region 2, Earth Tech has completed 136 projects, including response to the World Trade Center site and pre-deployment and joint training exercises for the Republican National Convention.
