EARTH TECH NAMED ON-CALL CONSULTANT FOR MTA’S LONG ISLAND RAIL ROAD

LONG BEACH, Calif. (January 26, 2005) – Earth Tech Inc., a business unit of Tyco International Ltd., and a global provider of consulting, engineering and construction services, has been selected as an on-call consultant for construction management and associated services for Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) construction projects.

The LIRR construction projects are part of the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA)'s $16 billion, 2005-2009 Capital Construction Program.

As an on-call consultant, Earth Tech has been pre-approved by the MTA to compete for construction phase services, project controls and project administration on an array of projects for a five-year period.

This latest agreement between Earth Tech and the MTA builds upon an existing relationship. Under a previous contract, Earth Tech is performing construction management services on the LIRR's $80 million Arch Street Shop and Yard project and has provided design services on various rail transit facilities.

“Our global experience and best practices in the transportation industry will be an asset on this new project,” said Alan Krusi, Earth Tech president. “We look forward to using our expertise to help the MTA reach its operational objectives in its long-term capital improvement program.”

In addition to its existing projects with the LIRR, Earth Tech has also completed a variety of rail transit projects in Raleigh, N.C.; Miami, Fla.; San Francisco, Calif.; Porto, Portugal; and Manila, Philippines.
