Earth Tech, as part of a joint venture, is providing construction management services for the implementation of a light rail transit system for a metropolitan center in Europe.
The new light rail system, which will serve a population of 1.3 million, is being implemented under a design-build-operate contract. The new system will cover 70 km overall, including 7 km of tunnels; 66 stations, 10 of which are underground; an integrated ticketing and passenger information system and 72 new Eurotram vehicles.
Services provided by Earth Tech include construction management for civil work, electromechanical signaling, telecommunications works, planning control, cost control, design review, quality assurance control and environmental and safety management.
