When planning the next phase of an extensive commuter and freight rail system in the Asia Pacific, our client selected Earth Tech, as part of a joint venture team, to complete the project.

Earth Tech was responsible for a US $12.3 million section of the rail project. This system provides three types of services: commuter rail passenger between two major centers; freight service, incorporating double-stacked container trains, from the new freight yard at the port; and a high-speed international rail service from the proposed new international terminal to the adjoining cities. The international high-speed rail terminal provides a multi-platform passenger facility with customs and full service inspection facilities for the trains.

Completed in 1998, this project provides an important new corridor for the area.
