Newsman Bob Hite Returns to Tampa Bay Television to Report on Earth Tech’s New Sinkhole Stabilization Warranty
Tampa, Florida (PRWEB) November 7, 2011
Bob Hite, the long respected news anchor for WFLA-News Channel 8, will star in a television advertising campaign for Earth Tech, the largest residential foundation and soil stabilization company in the Southeast. Hite will help Earth Tech announce the industry’s first independently guaranteed sinkhole warranty in TV spots beginning November 14. Earth Tech is providing the new warranty to give homeowners complete confidence in their sinkhole repairs.
Earth Tech, LLC (http://www.floridasinkhole.com) announced that Bob Hite will appear in TV spots starting November 14 in the Tampa Bay area to explain Earth Tech’s new Sinkhole Stabilization Warranty (TM) to homeowners. Hite spent almost thirty years anchoring newscasts at News Channel 8 in Tampa Bay. As a reporter, he shot and edited almost every story he covered. He is well known for environmental news reporting, having won seven Emmy’s for cinematography, videography, writing and editing. He was recognized as the foremost environmental journalist in the state. He is a Coast Guard licensed captain, an accomplished horseman and marksman and a member of the U.S. Marine Corps Combat Correspondents Association.
“Bob Hite represents the best of Tampa Bay and our can-do spirit,” said Ron Broadrick, President of Earth Tech. “Bob served this community and this state well for decades, and the community is indebted to him for keeping us informed and doing it with great skill. We are honored to have him represent the integrity of our brand and to share our news with the community.”
“Earth Tech wants homeowners to know they can be absolutely, positively certain their sinkhole problem is solved thanks to the new Sinkhole Stabilization Warranty (TM). We’ve joined forces with the world’s largest specialty insurance provider, and they stand behind our five year warranty at no extra cost to the homeowner. This is only possible because of our track record of quality during the past twenty years, during which we’ve completed more residential sinkhole stabilizations in Florida than anyone else,” said Broadrick. “Homeowners benefit, because we’ve joined the resources of a stabilization industry leader with a giant in the insurance business.”
A warranty on sinkhole stabilization differs from homeowner’s insurance. Florida homeowners may insure against the cost of sinkhole damage, and because sinkholes are common, they should be aware of the coverage they have. In contrast, a warranty assures the homeowner that the sinkhole has been stabilized. Sinkhole insurance has been in Florida news recently, because the Florida legislature decided in January 2011 that private insurers are no longer required to automatically include sinkhole coverage in homeowner policies. They may include more limited coverage, such as damage from a catastrophic groundcover collapse.
